Zero Deaths Program Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) is a
Minnesota interagency partnership led by the Department of
Public Safety and the Department of Transportation, in
cooperation with the State Patrol, the Federal Highway
Administration, Minnesota county engineers, and the Center
for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota.

Center of Transportation Studies How do we improve
the ways that we get from here to there without spending
all of our resources? Not an easy question, by any means.
But there are some good answers. The Center for
Transportation Studies (CTS) at the University of
Minnesota supports the search for those good answers
through research, education and outreach activities.
Living
Snow Fences The Minnesota Department of
Transportation has identified roads throughout the state
as problem sites for drifting snow. Mn/DOT and their
partners are working with property owners to design and
construct living snow fences that will control the blowing
snow and fit into the property owners land use/farming
operation.
Information
Policy Analysis Division Help Townships comply with
the Data Practices Act. Provide technical assistance and
consultation - answering questions and educating
individuals, government entities, businesses, and
associations about Minnesota's data practices (Chapter 13)
and records management acts (sections 15.17 and 138.17)
and other information policy laws.

Planning Assistance The Local Planning Assistance
Team at Minnesota Planning helps communities with planning
efforts, including comprehensive planning, zoning,
subdivision regulations, hazard mitigation and GIS
applications.

Division supervises the child support program. County
child support offices administer it by working with
parents to establish and enforce support orders.
